Where Consistency Creates Confidence — From Foundation to Refinement

Horseplay & Harmony in-person lessons are designed to support both horse and human through progressive development — whether you're refining existing skills or building a strong foundation from the beginning.
This program is ideal for:

✔ Riders seeking improved feel, timing, and communication under saddle
✔ Partnerships developing confidence and clarity through groundwork
✔ Liberty students interested in strengthening connection and communication
✔ Trick training enthusiasts building skills safely and progressively
✔ Young or green horses needing thoughtful, confidence-building development
✔ Horse-human partnerships working toward consistency on the ground or under saddle
✔ Students seeking a more structured and progressive approach to training
✔ Partnerships looking to improve communication, emotional regulation, or responsiveness

Lessons can focus on groundwork, liberty, trick training, or ridden work depending on your individual goals

What to Expect From Lessons

Lessons at Horseplay & Harmony are structured to support thoughtful, progressive development for both horse and human. Each session is tailored to your individual goals while remaining grounded in a consistent training framework designed to build clarity, confidence, and communication over time.

Depending on your focus, lessons may include:

• Groundwork to improve emotional regulation, responsiveness, and trust
• Liberty work to develop connection, communication, and willingness
• Trick training taught safely and progressively to support engagement and body awareness
• In-hand or ridden work to improve balance, coordination, and understanding
• Exercises to support young or green horses through foundational development
• Problem-solving for specific behavioural or training challenges
• Progressive skill-building to support long-term athletic and mental development

Over time, students commonly experience improved clarity in communication, increased confidence in applying training concepts independently, and a more consistent and responsive partnership both on the ground and under saddle.

2026 Lesson Packages

Effective April 1, 2026 • Booking opens March 1, 2026
My training program is rooted in the Horseplay & Harmony philosophy — developing connection, clarity, and athletic progression from foundation to refinement.

As the program continues to grow, I’ve refined the lesson structure to better support consistent progress while creating greater schedule stability for riders. Beginning April 1, 2026, lessons will move to a structured package model designed to:

  • Provide priority access to preferred lesson days and times
  • Support steady, measurable development
  • Reduce scheduling uncertainty
  • Reward commitment with preferred pricing

Booking opens March 1, 2026 so riders have time to review options and secure the structure that best supports their goals. This refinement allows me to continue offering a high-level, organized, results-focused training experience — while preserving the individualized attention that defines my program.

Mileage and Travel Fee (Off-Site Lessons)

For lessons held off-site, a mileage fee will apply to cover travel expenses.

  • Monthly and Seasonal packages: total mileage is calculated per barn and divided among the riders enrolled at that location.
  • Drop-In lessons (off-site): the travel fee will match the rate paid by riders attending that day.

This ensures a fair and transparent allocation of travel costs for all riders.

Cancellations and Make-Up Policy

A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required for cancellations. Lessons cancelled with less notice are forfeited.
For Monthly and Seasonal packages:

  • One cancellation per month may receive a make-up lesson
  • One alternate date (plus one backup option) will be provided
  • If the make-up cannot be attended, the lesson fee is forfeited

This policy protects reserved time slots and ensures fairness across the program.

Flexible Alternatives to Cancelling

If attendance isn’t possible due to weather, footing, horse soundness, or scheduling conflicts, your lesson time may instead be used for:

  • A professional training session with your horse
  • A lesson at Blitzen Estate on a school horse
  • A haul-in lesson
  • A private virtual session (theory, strategy, or rider development)
  • A groundwork or in-barn educational session

This ensures your investment continues to support progress — even when riding isn’t the right choice that day.

Payment Policy

Monthly and Seasonal packages must be paid in full by the end of the first week of the month or season to secure scheduling.

I’m looking forward to this next step. Structured consistency is one of the most important elements in rider development, and this model allows me to serve each of you with greater clarity, intention, and focus.
