About Caylyn Walker
|
Caylyn Walker's journey with horses began in her early years, starting with riding lessons that soon evolved into a successful competitive riding career. With multiple regional and national titles under her belt, she reached the pinnacle of her riding career in 2012 by clinching two World Championship titles in Morgan Dressage with her beloved gelding, "Riley."
Her foray into trick training was sparked by a challenge when her first horse faced an injury, leading her to explore alternative ways to keep her equine friend engaged. This curiosity blossomed into a passion for trick training, extending beyond horses to include goats, chickens, and even Zebu cows during her high school days at a petting zoo. |
After earning her degree, Caylyn pursued a career as a Safety Manager, where she further developed her teaching and communication skills. However, her love for horses remained steadfast, leading her to host horse clinics and demonstrations across Canada, sharing her expertise with enthusiasts of all ages.
As an author, Caylyn has penned four insightful books on horse training, including her latest work, "The Practical Horseplayer," available on Amazon. She also offers an interactive online course for aspiring equestrians. Her focus on nurturing young horses and foals through positive reinforcement techniques is evident in her work as the owner of Blitzen Morgans, a program dedicated to breeding and training Morgan sporthorses.
Passionate about equine behavior, Caylyn also enjoys working with horses facing various behavioral challenges, helping them overcome obstacles and thrive in their training journey.
