Are you looking for an immersive horse experience that covers a variety of topics as well as riding? We have a solution for you! What if I don't have a horse?For lesson in any ground work we are pleased to offer one of our fabulous morgans for use, but currently do not offer riding lessons on our horses.
What do lessons cost?Lessons are $65/hr
I also will travel offsite for lessons however there must be approval by the barn manager and a mileage charge will be added to the cost of the lesson. Contact us for details! |
Our ExperienceCaylyn Walker is a registered coach with Equine Canada and its a classical dressage rider with a focus on connecting horse and rider. She has over 25 years of riding experience and owns, breeds and trains a herd of foundation Morgan horses. From starting horses, curbing behavioral issues to showing at the World Championships Caylyn has vast experience to share with her students. She is a two time Morgan World Dressage Champion, published author of Horseplay and Harmony: Safe and Responsible Trick Horse Training, Foals With Goals, Liberty Work and Trick Training For Young Horses, and The Practical Horseplayer. She also boasts numerous Grand National Championship titles, National and Zone titles and high point awards in a variety of disciplines including western pleasure, showmanship, hunter pleasure, and dressage. Caylyn has performed numerous demonstrations and taught clinics to a diverse range of horses and handlers.
Our LessonsYou won’t find any shortcuts here and that includes no junior coaches (all lessons are taught directly by Caylyn), no force methods, and no gimmicks; Just dirt, sweat and a sense of accomplishment. Onsite 1 hour lessons are $70 and include:
-Understanding horse behaviors -Care of your horse -Horse nutrition (World class athletes need more than just hay and cookies!) -Equipment fitting -Proper grooming and care -Learning about breeding, mare care and foal care -Working with green horses -Overcoming challenges -Proper, effective ground work -Lunging with a purpose - Confidence building (For the horse and rider) -Fundamental riding skills -Riding with feel -Practicing riding patterns -Play time(Trick training and stress relief for horse and rider) |
